Social Holiness

Recently I had the opportunity to hear John Clearly speak. I was interested to hear him say that as The Salvation Army comes out of the wesleyan holiness movement, then our holiness is nothing if not social holiness. By this he meant that we are committed to helping people come into an understanding of Christ and christian maturity that is connected to the world in which we live. It is not piein the sky when you die... rather it is steak on the plate while you wait.
